Bodrum
Built on a peninsula formed by the meeting of the eastern and western harbours, Bodrum, with its narrow streets winding down to the sea, is famous for its castle, its world-renowned yachts, its shipyards and the dazzling white houses and tombs lining the shores of its two harbours.
The resort is 30 minutes away from the airport and is dominated by the magnificent St Peters Castle. Bodrum is considered by many to be the most cosmopolitan resort. It offers a high standard of shops, places to dine and entertainment. The marina is impressive during the day as it is at night with an array of quality restaurants lining the marina.
The Bodrum peninsula also includes sleepy villages such as Yalikavak, Bitez, Gumbet, Gumusluk and Gulluk, all of which are developing into resorts in their own right.
