Mavisehir means "The Blue City" and is a peaceful little village with a fishing pier and a large traditional Turkish market. Overlooking the clear blue sea and the Greek islands live up to its name. Life in the small town Mavisehir is modest and leisurely, with small cafes and restaurants and local shops. This is the place for you to escape the everyday hustle and bustle and who yearn for a tranquil blue lagoon where you can recharge your batteries. On the local market you can buy everything you want out of food, spices, clothing, etc at low prices. In summer, the market is open around the clock so you can shop when it is not so hot - it does it is usually easier and more enjoyable. Although Mavisehir is known for its peace and quiet, you do not go far to find more life and activities. It takes 5 minutes to drive by bus to Aqua Park - a huge water park with numerous slides, wave pool, activities and beautiful parklands. The famous Temple of Apollo is also just 5 minutes away and is a valuable cultural treasure. Didim town located 10 minutes away and offers a wide range of services and activities, nightlife, bustling seafront. |
