It is very important to decide exactly what you are looking for before commencing your property search in Turkey. This will save a lot of time and effort later on.
A few things to consider:
- Are you buying a property for your own personal use or is it for investment purposes?
- Do you want to buy a plot of land and build your own house?
- Do you want to purchase an off plan property or renovate an existing property?
- Would you like a property in a rural location, a property in the city centre or something close to the beach?

What you can buy:
- Land and property within a zoned municipal area. This means all cities and towns as well as coastal resorts and the large areas around them.

- Property or land in rural areas
- Property or land in areas of military or national importance
- More than 2.5 hectares of land
